Couple in Manassas Upgrades Family Home with Granite and Cabinetry
Granite ASAP was contacted by a couple in Manassas, Virginia that wanted to have their home updated with modern appeal. The customer came down to our showroom to view some of the natural stones we had in stock. They decided they wanted to go with granite, but wasn’t sure what color. They also chose the new sinks and faucets they wanted in the kitchen and bathrooms. Tile was also chosen to implement a backsplash in the kitchen and one along the border of the bathroom floors.
An expert from Granite ASAP came to their property to measure the kitchen and bathrooms to determine how much work and material was required. A quote was provided, which was accepted by the couple immediately. Next step was to fabricate the materials for the home and schedule an appointment.

As always, we try our hardest to please our homeowner clients, so we went over and beyond to ensure their happiness.
Installing the New Products
The customers selected the products they wanted from our shop. After fabricating the pieces for the job, we scheduled an appointment with the client. Within days, we were at the property getting prepared to do the installation. Our first stop was to the two bathrooms. The guest bathroom was first – we removed the vanity and sink. Then we moved on to the master bathroom removing the double vanities and sinks from there as well.
Our contractors prepared the new vanities and sinks for the installations. We implemented the vanity, granite slab and sink inside the guest bathroom first, then installed the tile along the border near the floor. The same was done with the master bathroom, but this time with a his and her set up.
The kitchen was next on the list. We removed the kitchen countertops, then began replacing it with the new granite stone option. We then properly sealed the slabs for the kitchen, as well as the bathrooms. Last was the backsplash, which aligned with the countertop. The area behind the stove and sink were also covered in a tile that matched nicely with the granite stone.
The entire project took two and a half days to complete. Our contractors were in and out as soon as possible.

Manassas, VA
You can find the city of Manassas inside the Commonwealth of Virginia. Neighboring communities include Prince William County, Fairfax County and Manassas Park, which is another independent city. You can find the 38 acres that makes up Manassas surrounding the county courthouse. However, the courthouse isn’t a part of the city. Manassas is also a part of the metro areas of Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD-WV.
Back in 1861, there was what’s called the First Battle of Manassas or the First Battle of Bull Run. Not too far away was a major land battle during the American Civil War. Then there was the Second Battle of Manassas, which took place a year later between August 28th and 30th. During this time, the only thing here was a railroad crossing. It was considered strategic because it leads to important destinations, such as Richmond, Virginia, Shenandoah Valley and Washington D.C.
Although both battles fought here were won by the Confederates, the area was still in the hands of the Union for majority of the war. After the war was over, the area grew into a town and then in 1873 it was incorporated.
Speaking of the great battles of Manassas, you can witness first-hand the very fields the war was fought on at Manassas National Battlefield Park. You can also see displays at The Manassas Museum, Freedom Museum, Center for the Arts at the Candy Factory or even the infamous Manassas Train Station. Those who enjoy a great show can head to the theater at Hylton Performing Arts Center.
Then for some fun in the water, you can take your family over to Splash Down Waterpark or Signal Bay Water Park. If you want to see more historic sites, you can go to the Ben Lomond Historic Site. Or if you want to wind down with a glass of beer, you can go to the BadWolf Brewing Company or Heritage Brewing Company.
